Kyle Thompson is a young, talented photographer who takes amazing self-portraits using a tripod and self-timer.
He is so creative within his usual settings of suburban Chicago, painting an alternate world of subdued colour and an odd stillness. They are beautifully eerie slices in time.
For the above photo, Thompson notes that he used two lamps clamped to a chair to create the “headlight” effect. Ingenious and very effective.
His images are so hauntingly beautiful that it’s hard to choose just a couple to post. Really great work!
